Student 2017 Future Safety Leader’s Conference – Nov 7 & 8 2017

ASSE is seeking motivated and energized students to join us for the 13th annual Future Safety Leaders Conference taking place November 7-8, 2017, at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Lombard, Illinois. The Future Safety Leader’s Conference provides ASSE student members the tools they need for a successful career in safety.

The conference offers student members the unique opportunities to:

NIOSH – Young Retail Workers

June, which is National Safety Month, seems an appropriate time to focus on young workers, as they head out of schools and into the workforce. Many of them will find in jobs in the retail industry, a leading employer of young workers in the United States.

NIOSH launched a new web page for young retail workers.  Retail workers are featured because the retail industry is a leading employer of young workers. This new web-based resource Young Retail Workers gives an overview of retail business and helps identify potential safety hazards, such as these top five reported to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

Professional Safety

Establish a Safety Fund

Donors can establish a named academic scholarship or professional education grant fund through the ASSE Foundation. Scholarships and grants advance the safety profession and provide national recognition for the donor. The Foundation manages the administrative details of this program and works with the donor to provide qualified award recipients each year.

WISE Mentoring Program
